PINE BARK MULCH - MEDIUM FRACTION (2ND SORT)

This is the most versatile kind of mulch. Mulch of the middle fraction is aesthetically attractive, because it consists of separate, easily discernible pieces of golden brown bark. In addition, it is effective: due to the small size of the particles, allowing them to fit tightly to each other, it covers the soil in a dense layer, keeping moisture and temperature in the soil well. Medium size mulch also easier disintegrates in comparison with mulch of coarse fraction. This kind of mulch can be used for plants of any size, it is ideal for perennials. Mulch should be laid with a layer of not less than 5-7 cm in thickness, and every year the layer needs to be renewed, adding at least 1 centimetre, as the mulch disintegrates over time, enriching the soil with humus.
